Introducing singer/songwriter Alyssa Bernal.

When multiplatinum artist and producer Pharrell Williams is so anxious to get in touch with someone that he contacts their high school to try and track them down, you know that there is something special happening. When that happened to singer-songwriter and YouTube sensation Alyssa Bernal, the teenager was shocked. “They didn’t know who Pharrell was! They just thought it was some shady guy trying to get a hold of me,” laughs Alyssa. Her mother finally spotted his MySpace message and 24 hours later, she and Alyssa were on a plane from their home in San Antonio, TX to meet Pharrell and Interscope Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine in Los Angeles. "Finding a new talent like Alyssa is so exciting to me,” says Pharrell. “There are a lot of young singers out there who can carry a tune, but Alyssa is the real deal. She is a true musician with an incredible voice."

Once signed to Star Trak, Alyssa met with her dream producer, Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, Train). Terefe's schedule was fully booked for the next few months, but after an hour-long meeting with the young singer, he agreed to work with her - starting immediately. Alyssa and her mother moved to London for seven weeks to record her debut album, In Love Again For The First Time. Terefe helped develop Alyssa’s naturally sunny sound, enlivening her pop sensibility with notes of funk and soul. Question: What exactly are you insecure about?
Taylor: "I'm a f**king teenager - I'm insecure about everything!"

Question: And what about your reputation for being 'angsty'. Is that fair?
Taylor: "Of course it's justified! I'm angsty as sh*t. I'm a teenage girl in a rock band - what do you expect? [Laughs] But it's not like I'm mean,  I just don't give a f**k what people think.  I don't think I'm different from other teens, its just people talk about me more."

Question: What do you think of reality stars who make music?
Taylor: "When I was nine I wrote a song called Blackout. And I think that Heidi Montag just sang a song that a nine-year old wrote. So thats what I think about that."

Paris Hilton arrested on cocaine charges.

Paris Hilton was arrested last night (Friday) and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for possession of cocaine, according to CBS news. She was in the passengers seat, when the car she was in got pulled over at 11:30 p.m. Friday for a routine traffic stop in front of the Wynn Hotel and Casino (Las Vegas).

Officers smelled marijuana, which prompted a further search -- resulting in the police discovering cocaine in Hilton's purse.

Paris was charged with possession of a controlled substance, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI and drug possession. Of course though, Paris has already been booked and released.

Sons of Sylvia resuming tour with Carrie Underwood this fall!

Sons of Sylvia are getting ready for another round of touring with country singer Carrie Underwood. Part two of Carrie’s “Play On Tour” kicks off September 25th in Portland, OR and Sons of Sylvia are tagging along . Brothers Adam, Austin, Ashley saw the release of their album Revelation on 19 Recordings/Interscope Records this past April, as the album debuted at # 33 on the Billboard top 200 album chart and # 9 on Billboard’s Rock chart. Mascara picks for fall 2010.

No matter what season it is, the type of make-up you choose is always important. We have picked a list of the top 3 mascaras that are a must-have for your purse. There are different types to choose from -- each that can tailor to a certain look you are going  for.

1.) Maybelline Full 'N Soft mascara -- This mascara by Maybelline works extremely well and is highly recommended for the "natural" look you are going for. Not to say that it doesn't enhance your eyelashes, but it does so in a more natural, less-bold manner. Retail: $5.94

Almay Intense I-Color mascara - Almay has an array of great beauty products that are made to accentuate your personal eye color, and I am throughly impress with their Intense I-Color mascara, especially the brown colored one for blue eyes. Kylie Minogue who has recently topped the Billboard Club chart with "All The Lovers", the first single from her album "Aphrodite"-- posted 3 official remixes for her next club smash "Get Outta My Way" on her YouTube channel. Wear bones as jewelry!

It'll only cost you about $10,500. Would you wear jewelry made out of bones? Atelier Minyon is offering them for their fall 2010 collection. The odd piece is known as The Bone Bracelet, and is covered in oxidized silver, 24-karat gold, rubies, diamonds as well as bones from an Opossum.

According to W magazine the designer, Alp Sagnak, was inspired to design the bracelet after a visit to Evolution which sells natural history collectibles. The bone bracelet --retailing for $10,500 is sold at Atelier Minyon, New York. While it may seem a little odd -- I actually think the piece of jewelry is not only unique but would be a fun piece to add to your jewelry box. However, I am not so certain I can afford that price tag!

Fantasia says "overdose" was no accident.

Just weeks after the former American Idol winner/singer Fantasia was in the hospital for overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid-- she admits that it was no accident, according to PEOPLE.

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out," Fantasia tells VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview, airing 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, "At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that ****."

She reveals more saying "I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

But what would make the hopeful and successful singer want to her end life? "I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family – my father, dealing with men and their **** – I was tired," she explains. "My head was hurting me. I was over it."

There has to be a little more than meets the eye though. Obviously she has a lot going on as she is potentially being brought with a lawsuit by Paula Cook -- the wife of Antwaun Cook -- who the singer has had and is having an ongoing affair with.

Interview with Runner Runner!

Today I got the chance to catch up with Nick, who is the guitarist of the band Runner Runner, and ask him a few questions. Check out the mini-Q&A session I had with Nick below:

Me: Hey Nick. What's up?
Nick:  We are driving to South Carolina, and are literally in the middle of nowhere. I am actually working on a song. I love writing and working on music. I'm thinking of naming the song "All I need" or "Here I am."

Me: Who writes your songs?
Nick:We all write, actually . We were all song writers in our previous bands. We all come up with ideas and figure out what is the best material to put out there.

Me: How did you come up with the name "Runner Runner"?
Nick: The name came from a poker term. It means against the odds, it means if you're behind in a hand of poker and you need the two perfect cards to win then you just got Runner Runner. We apply that to music because theres a lot of great songs and great artists and we really hope we can win against the odds.

Me: What's the biggest challenge of being in a band?
Nick: The biggest challenge is that I love surfing and i love the beach, and its really hard to be away from the beach. It's a scarifice worth making though.

Me: What's your personal favorite song off the album?
Nick: My personal favorite is "So Obvious". Its our first single and we are very happy about hearing it on the radio, its amazing. My close second favorite is life after you.

Me: How long have you guys been on tour?
Nick: We've been on four for may, and will be on Tour for rest of the year. We'll be performing with other acts such as with The Ready Set, Rocket to The Moon, David Archeluta.

Me: Which song is your favorite to perform?
Nick: Thats another reason "So Obvious" is my favorite song, its also my favorite to perform.

Me: Anything else you'd like to add?

What to pair with your favorite leather jacket.

Leather jackets are an awesome must-have for fall 2010, they've been in and out for awhile now and are great for dressing up your different outfits. As with all fashion though -- it may become hard to come up with ideas of what to wear with your favorite leather jacket. I am a proud owner of my personal favorite brown leather jacket and dug through my closet to show you how I like to style mine. Hope this gives you some ideas!

Tank top wear:

The tank top with a leather jacket is an easily done look that is not only casual but looks great. When going the tank top route I'd recommend solid colors, and plain tank tops for a more casual look. The white is a classic look, but bright colors work great as well.

Girly-style:

If a leather jacket makes you feel too masculine you can get a little girly on it -- and the outcome is great. Here I just added a few shirts with sequins, and embellishments on it; while again it's not the most dressed up look it adds a cute, girly feel to it.

Dress it up:

If you really want to dress the leather up, then pair the jacket with your favorite dress. In my looks I went for a black strapless dress, as well as a strapless floral dress. In my personal opinion,  the strapless or tank dresses look best with a leather jacket.

 Tomboy/Laid back:

And lastly, if you are feeling more "tomboy" or even just laid-back then slip on just any ole' graphic tee or indie shirt under your jacket and you will get that look that you are going for. Also don't be afraid to bring out the rockstar in you with your leather jacket!
