DIY mason jar flower vase

This was a fun DIY project! I made my mother this for Mother's Day.  It was a fun project, could've been done a little more neat but nobody is perfect, right? :)

Here is what I used:
1 mason jar {got mine free!}
Burlap
Flower stencils
Pink yarn
5 fake flowers from A.C. Moore
Construction paper

First paint the mason jar your desired color {I was too lazy and just dipped it into paint, so I made a bit of a mess! LOL}, while the jar is drying you can cut your burlap and stencil it. I tried a few different things but what worked most for me was painting the stencils on with a paint brush.

Once the mason jar dries you can wrap the burlap around the mason jar and keep it up by tying the yarn or string around the burlap. Next you add the fake flowers! I attached little inspirational quotes to each flower. They are only taped to the side of the flower & can be easily removed.

And that is all there is to it! Simple craft, and it is very cute. You can use it as a gift or just for around your own house. I love the blue color I used, it's giving off a nice beachy/summer feel to it.
