Fall is here!

2 days ago it officially became the first day of Fall, hooray! On Saturday we celebrated the first day of Fall by visiting a local bakery -- Bergey's Breadbasket which also has a fun corn maze, a farm, and mini petting zoo. For $6 a person, you really cannot beat the fun; our son was free because he is under age 3.  They had a good amount of pumpkins out, a sandbox for the kids, and a little bench area that made for cute pictures. Brody hasn't really seen pumpkins since he was 2 months old last Halloween, he kept trying to pick them up.

We loved the tractor hayride that took us to the huge corn maze! I cannot remember how long exactly the corn maze took to complete, but I will say that we took a wrong turn quite a few times. Isn't that the fun of it all? After we went through the corn maze, we then checked out the mini petting zoo which Brody absolutely loved. They had chickens, a pig, goats, sheep, and an adorable donkey walking around. He really didn't want to leave the donkey, he was very interested.

Lastly we tried out the corn gun. This was AWESOME! Such a loud noise but how fun does shooting corn at wood sound? Tons! If you shot the corn into the targets you could win free ice cream {the front ones} or a free milkshake {far back}. On my first shot I was right on target, so we redeemed our free ice cream for some of their chocolate chip mint. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, very creamy and nothing like the ice cream you buy in stores. It was so good that Paul bought his own bowl. 

This was a fun day, though it was a bit weird to start the first day of Fall with it being 90 degrees. I will say we enjoyed the last day of the nice hot sun though.
