Easy & delicious snack: chickpeas!

Chickpeas are one of my favorite things to make as a snack. Last summer I fell in love with them, and Brody likes to eat them as well. I soaked the chickpeas overnight, then drained them. Other than the chickpeas, you only need about 5 ingredients to season them. I used black pepper, cumin, garlic powder, olive oil, and salt. There are no exact measurements that I used just season to your choice of taste.

After you season them, line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray with canola/vegetable oil to keep from sticking & pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.  Lay them on a single layer {as much as possible}, cook for about 30-40 minutes or until crisp.

Chickpeas are delicious on their own, or they are great to add to a salad; especially Caesar if I do say so myself.
