Review: Monk Fruit in the Raw

Thanks to  Moms Meet I got the chance to sample Monk Fruit in the Raw. Although I didn't know really what it was before, I loved trying it out and learning what it was all about. Monk Fruit In The Raw is a wholesome, zero-calorie sweetener made from real monk fruit, which is a vine fruit that is native to Asia. How is it made? The sweet extract from monk fruit is blended with other
sweeteners to create the perfect balance of sweet.

I LOVE that it is naturally vegan, kosher, and gluten-free, and does not contain any added table sugar, sugar alcohols, or molasses. As a health concision person, I do not like adding a ton of sugar into what I eat or drink, yet I don't want to surrender the sweet taste. Thanks to Monk Fruit in the Raw, I don't feel guilty or like it affects my diet! The taste is surprisingly sweet, a great alternative to sugar.

I tried it four different ways: I added it into my coffee (along with soy milk), sweetened my oatmeal with it, topped fresh fruit, and baked cookies with my little one. (Note: For baked goods, it is recommended to only replace half of the amount of sugar with Monk Fruit In The Raw for best results.) It was tasty, no weird after taste or lack of sweetness. Seriously, put the sugar down and give it a try; you can have your cake and eat it too!
